    Asha workers get relaxation

    Bhopal: The National Health Mission has issued an order to give payment of routine incentive amount of Rs 2,000 per month along with the arrears to Asha workers from October 01, 2018. The Director Dr BN Chouhan has told all the Chief Medical and Health Officers to ensure payment of routine incentive amount from the next month. It may be mentioned that an order was issued in connection to hold payment of routine incentive amount to the Asha workers due to the model code of conduct, which came into force because of the Vidhan Sabha Election-2018. After the end of the model code of conduct, the order for payment of routine incentive amount has been issued again on Tuesday.

    Addl charge of Sanchi varsity for Shrivastav

    Bhopal: Chancellor and Governor Anandiben Patel has nominated Additional Chief Secretary, Culture Department Manoj Shrivastav to conduct the work of the post of Vice Chancellor of Sanchi University of Buddhist-Indic Studies, Sanchi in Raisen district, along with his current responsibilities. It may be noted that Professor Yajneshwar Shastri, Vice-Chancellor, Sanchi University of Buddhist-Indic Studies, Sanchi will not be able to continue on the post of Vice-Chancellor as he will be completing 70 years on December 18, 2018.

    Submit papers for polls: CEO to canditates

    Bhopal: Chief Electoral Officer VL Kanta Rao has informed that candidates of Vidhan Sabha Elections-2018 are required to submit document showing details of three time publication/ broadcast of criminal record along with the election expenditure to the Office of District Election Officer/ Returning Officer within 30 days after the declaration of election results. Similarly, political parties are required to submit report in connection to the publication/broadcasting after compiling the detail of criminal cases of candidates within 30 days after the declaration of election results. The Election Commission of India as per the order of the Supreme Court had given directives for publication/broadcast of details of such candidates against whom criminal cases are pending or cases in which they have been convicted, mentioning it in the affidavit form-26 during the Vidhan Sabha Elections-2018.

    ‘Strict actions against illegal activities’

    Bhopal: In a meeting of the Home Department at the Mantralaya on Tuesday, Chief Minister Kamal Nath issued instructions to take strict action against illegal trade of intoxicants and illegal activities in public places. He said that this action of prevention should be continuous and not periodical. Among those present in the meeting were Chief Secretary BP Singh, Principal Secretary, Home Malay Srivastava, Director General of Police Rishi Kumar Shukla and Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Ashok Varnawal. Expressing deep concern over the growing addiction among youth during the meeting, Chief Minister Kamal Nath gave clear instructions to strictly prohibit illegal sale of narcotics. Nath said that along with this, strict action should be taken against illegal activities in public places including Satta, gambling and other illegal activities. He said that it is our primary responsibility to ensure that the citizens remain fearless. Chief Minister Kamal Nath said that he will also hold a meeting of senior officers at the Police Headquarters on Wednesday for detailed discussion in this connection. He said that the Director General of Police and all senior Police officials will be present at the meeting to be held in PHQ at 1 pm.
