North eastern students learn about Buddhism in MP | Bhopal NYOOOZ – NYOOOZ

A group of north eastern students who have come to the city for a youth exchange program under the Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) visited the world heritage site near Bhopal- Sanchi. One hundred and five students of Manipur, Nagaland and Madhya Pradesh visited the heritage monument. The students were very delighted to see the 3 rd century BCE monument. Built by king Ashoka Sanchi is a place where a lot of things can be learnt about the Buddhist religion and their culture. They saw the famous Ashok Pillar which is the Buddhist dharmachakra represented by twenty four strokes.
