Going on a trip and exploring new places is always exciting and there are always plenty of places to see and visit. But sometimes it could be fun to mix it up a little, to do something you might not have thought about before! Maybe take a painting class or learn how to make delicious chocolates? Or maybe you’ve always wanted to learn how to Salsa dance. It doesn’t really matter what you do though, taking a class on vacation is a sure way to make some unforgettable memories!

Here are ten spots our Spotters love, everything from dancing lessons to pottery class, take your pick!

Kupuku is located in the Driekoningenstraat in Berchem and is probably the cutest gift store in Antwerp. What is especially nice about the store is that owner Silvia offers a three-hour workshop on how to make your very own bento. Not only is this a lovely way to spend an afternoon, but you will also learn how to make a nice healthy Japanese lunch!

FUX is an old police station in Hamburg which is now the workspace for creatives. The people there are very open-minded and always up for a chat. They also offer all kinds of different workshops in the fields of drawing and photography as well as other cool events! Some workshops are regular, some only once and the costs are pretty low (sometimes even free).

El Son in central Madrid is a great place to go and enjoy an authentic salsa club. It’s our Spotter Andrea’s recommendation for rookie dancers who may be a little anxious to dance in public since it’s relatively small and not intimidating. Go there if you want to have a night of fun and freedom! They also offer sensual bachata from the Dominican Republic or kizomba from Angola.

At Koumpi they offer plenty of workshops on a daily basis. What we love about it though is the fact that they offer you a place to learn and practice crafting skills while chatting and having fun. Since a lot of people consider the old-school craft a lonesome activity for old folks, even if this isn’t true. Not in the mood for a long stay? Then try the easy-to-make project kits while enjoying your coffee. You can create a unique and cute souvenir completely on your own!

Xocololat Manufactory is a truly magical place filled with delicious treats that make even the most disciplined among us stop and stare. Truly anything you buy from there is guaranteed to be great, but even greater is that they want to teach us their ways! Learn how to do chocolate desserts, produce your own fruit chocolate with the help of the confectioner or proudly put your self-made finest pralinés in a box after a workshop of around 4 hours. Totally worth it don’t you agree?
