    Narcotics Anonymous meets at noon and 8 p.m. today at 919 Hobson Ave. This is a 12-step recovery program for people for whom drugs have become a major problem. The Help Line number is 321-8700.

This is a fellowship, and the success of the OA program is based on the 12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous. There are no dues or fees; it is self-supporting through voluntary contributions.     Dual Recovery Anonymous, a 12-step recovery group for individuals who have a diagnosis of mental illness and the disease of addiction, will meet at 4 p.m. Monday at 315 W.     Celebrate Recovery will meet at 6 p.m. today at Gospel Light, 600 Garland Ave., for food and fellowship followed by the meeting. It is a Christ-centered program designed to help people heal from hurts, hang-ups and habits. The weekly format includes worship, teaching, sharing recovery experiences and small group interaction.     Guardian Angels Thrift Store, now located at 907 Hobson Ave., is open from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. Good used items are accepted during open hours. It has a selection of clothing for men, women, children and plus sizes; shoes, household items and furniture are available. Tax-deductible donations, which help individuals with disabilities in Garland County and surrounding areas, are accepted from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the back door; or call 624-5757 for pickup of donations.

    RPM Thrift Store, 815 Albert Pike, is open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday. Articles include household items, appliances, furniture, TVs, women’s accessories, toys and more. Items donated are tax deductible. Proceeds benefit Recovery Point Ministry, a faith-based, nonprofit organization which provides a nurturing environment to help women step out of their pain from destructive habits and begin to rebuild their lives through the life-changing power of Jesus Christ.

    Stop Animal Cruelty Thrift Store, 821 Hobson Ave., is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday. All proceeds benefit the rescued pets in foster care. SAC is an all-volunteer organization striving to promote humane principles, prevent cruelty and alleviate fear, pain and suffering in animals. It investigates reports of cruelty and neglect in Hot Spring and Garland counties. Donations of kitchen items, home décor, clothing, shoes, bedding, linens, collectibles and furniture in good condition are appreciated. Donations of dog and cat food or pet supplies may be left at the store. All donations are tax deductible. Low-cost spay and neuter vouchers are available to the public.     Ground Zero Water Aerobics class at Hot Springs Family YMCA is offered from 11 a.m..-noon Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. This class is a “low impact” water exercise class designed for individuals who have problems with their backs, knees, hips or other health concerns.     Paws and Claws Rescue Adoptathon is held from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturdays at Petco in Cornerstone Shopping Center. PACR is dedicated to caring for homeless pets in the community through adoptions, community awareness, fostering from their homes while caring for companion animals until forever homes can be found.     Humane Society of Garland County pet adoption is held from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturdays at Petco, in Cornerstone Shopping Center. Aqua Arthritis classes follow the guidelines of the Arthritis Foundation’s water exercise program and are held at 1 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Water exercise is a low-impact way to work out.     Spa City Co-op online marketplace will be open from 9 a.m. Saturday through 9 p.m. Tuesday, providing the community with a way to get fresh foods from area farmers. Products available are vegetables, herbs, spices, eggs, cheese, naturally raised meats, bath and beauty products, jams, jellies, organic, fair-trade coffee, tea, and chocolate, local artisan crafts, and more. Membership is $15 a year.
